I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University. My training includes psychotherapy for clients of varying ages experiencing a range of mental health issues. In addition, I conducted psychoeducation classes for teens on probation due to dating and family domestic violence arrests. I also led co-parenting and parallel parenting classes for individuals in high-conflict separation cases. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent almost 20 years working in Finance and Accounting at a corporate setting. It has been a privilege to pivot my career and support clients to reduce suffering and achieve goals of personal empowerment.

I support individuals who desire to heal from trauma, experience relief from difficult feelings, navigate life transitions, and improve relationships. I also work with couples who are seeking closeness and connection. My style is empathic, challenging, active, collaborative and responsive to multicultural factors. I incorporate values of self-compassion, empowerment, resilience and nonjudgmental awareness.

My approach is client-centered and grounded in research about attachment, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness.  I am trauma trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am working toward certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).  I also use the following practices: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Multiculturalism, Humanistic / Person-Centered, Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, Mind-Body. I am bilingual in English and Tagalog.

In my personal life, I’m a mother, a wife, daughter, sister, friend, (and human being) all of which have shaped who I am as a therapist.
